Also, awesome [livejournal.com profile] fangirljen  posted notes she wrote on the panel. She says most of it is summary and she has a few exact quotes here and there.

I'd like to post a few notes on here:

Everybody is introducing themselves and Jack Coleman is a bit of a character and introduced himself as Masi Oka.

Always humorous!

Jack Coleman said that he didn't have to go through the network casting process due to him being a guest star. His audition was on paper. The short time of having lower pay was definitely worth that to him.

On his first day of casting he has the flu and a 102 fever. It was the scene where HRG comes home. First tim he ever met Hayden she said "Hello Daddy." He said he wondered: "Who is this girl? She's very confident."

I love this.

HRG is a hardened killer and loving father. This was interesting to Jack.

At first HRG did not carry a gun. Jack did not see him as a killer.

Sometimes Jack wondered what HRG knew. He worked with Allan Arkush and Greg Beeman on this. Beeman told him "when in doubt, you know everything."

In the scene where HRG tells Claire about how he has set up a meeting with her birth parents, he is loving to her face, and she leaves and the curtain drops. HRG is the killer again. Has the footage of her tests on his comp. Where he is father and on the job. The switch is so
fast.

Kring says that Jack plays the loving father with just as much passion as the killer. Jack has a way of departmentalizing.

Plays things in present. Vexing and intriguing. Leaves people thinking who is he really?

Jack wonders about Angela's switch from stealing socks to becoming a Company founder, but Cristine does not explain.

Jack cracks that the dead can still talk.

Jack says he recently did a Hallmark movie for Father's Day. Rock the House. Unbelievably fun. Father and daughter story. "Stop me if you have heard this one before." He's singing and playing guitar. He focused on the singing because he can't play guitar very well.
Kring says that while Cristine's and Jack's parts were smaller, they turned the roles larger, meeting him and his writing halfway.

On creating character: way they speak, what's going on in the eyes.

Kring says that Jack's eyes show intelligence and humanity.

My fave part:

What they are doing now:

Jack Coleman: Won a Nobel Prize in Economics.

Too bad they don't give a Nobel Prize for sexiness.

The rest of notes from the panel are here!

And here are the audio files:

Yes, he has a sexy voice.

[livejournal.com profile] eriksavatar  received a message from Tim Kring and she asks Heroes fans to post it on Heroes communities. Here's the message:

"Thanks again to all of the loyal “Heroes” fans who are awaiting news about what NBC plans to do regarding closure for the series. Like all of you, I was shocked and disappointed that NBC did not choose to pick up a 5th season of the show. I would love nothing more than to be producing more great episodes for you all to enjoy. But fortunately, there is very strong interest on my part and NBC’s part to figure out a way to bring some form of closure to the storyline. The cast and crew are also willing to rally. Believe me, I would love to have news to report at this time, but alas I don’t. NBC’s ultimate decision is based on all kinds of factors (budget issues, scheduling, distribution) that I don’t have control over. So, I am waiting patiently for them to sort out these internal issues for now.

In the meantime, some of the fans have commented about a new project of mine that has been close to my heart for quite some time. It just launched and is called the Conspiracy for Good. I thought it would be helpful to share a piece of important background information about this project with you. First, I want to make it very clear that my work on my other creative projects in no way diminishes my sincere interest in continuing the “Heroes” storyline with NBC. I have long had a strong interest in philanthropic issues and the Conspiracy For Good has been my way of combining this interest with my passion for storytelling.

In truth, “Heroes” itself was an attempt to put a positive message into the world - One of hope, interconnectivity and global consciousness. It was this underlying message that connected so strongly with the audience. From this connection sprung ideas like Sylar’s Army, which raised money for Give Life Foundation, and Heroes For Autism and Heroes For Haiti. So, in many ways, it is directly because of all of the “Heroes” fans around the world that I was inspired to bring the Conspiracy for Good to life. Watching how the fan base formed, rallied and have woven powerful bonds within the group, showed me that blending entertainment with fan activity toward a greater good could be a reality. With this powerful fan base that demonstrates such enthusiasm and interest, why not mobilize some of this energy to do more than just talk or chat about a TV show? So to every Heroes fan, I invite you to see for yourself what you had a hand in inspiring me to do with the Conspiracy for Good. You can find it at conspiracyforgood.com.

When there is news about “Heroes”, I promise it will be shared as soon as possible. Your continued loyalty, vocal support and wish to see more of “Heroes” is genuinely appreciated.

Sincerely,

Tim Kring"
